This most simple Italian tomato sauce puts tomato and basil flavours up front. This sauce features the San Marzano Tomato (solanum lycopersicum).
This amazing fruit heralding from Peru via a little village beneath the volcanic Mount Vesuvius, near Naples, with its rich flavours and large fleshy composition make the San Marzano most famous for sauce making.
Certified Organic Ingredients: Tomato (from Emilia), Carrot, Onion, White Wine, Sunflower Oil, Olive Oil, Fresh Basil, Salt.
Preparation Instructions: Bring to a gentle simmer and toss with your favourite Pasta Emilia pasta shape. For an extra touch simply add anchovies, salty cheese or Pasta Emilia chilli oil on top.
